Fruit Scones
Ingredients
- 225g Self Raising flour
- 1tsp Baking powder
- 55g margarine
- 55g sugar
- 55g raisins (soaked in orange juice)
- Milk
- 1 egg
Method
- Rub the margarine into flour and add the baking powder and sugar and make a well in the middle
- Drain the raisins, break the egg and pour into the well and mix
- Add milk to make a soft dough
- Roll out to 2cm thick and cut scones using a 7cm cutter (dab cutter in flour)
- Brush the tops of the scones with beaten egg
- Bake at 180 Celsius for 10-15 minutes
